Description

The IRB industrial supply air diffuser is designed as an adjustable summer and winter unit with high flexibility. The unit was developed for ventilating spaces with both high and low ceilings. E.g. industrial facilities, warehouses, larger stores, sport halls, offices. The main parts of the IRB unit are the two cylinder elements with slot-openings on either the bottom or the curved side. These cylinders are inserted into each other in a way so either the slots on the bottom plate are open, which allows for a vertical air diffusion, or the slots on the curved side are open, which provides a horizontal air stream. The adjustment of the horizontal or vertical air direction can be performed manually or with a regulator. During the opening and closing processes of the slots the inside pressure drop is practically unchanged, so the adjustment of the supply air direction has no significant effect on the preset balance of the system. IRB is connected directly to the air duct system, and is air-tight due to the rubber gasket around the connection of the diffuser.

If ordered with a regulator, as standard, the IRB unit is equipped with a BELIMO NM 24 version (open-close system motor operating at 24 V). See other regulator option in the below specification. Because the IRB air supply air diffusor has no air volume control built in, the quantity of the air supplied through the slots can be adjusted by dampers in the air duct system, performed for example by a ZMS, commissioning damper.

Materials and finish

The front and side diffusor panels are all made of steel sheet. The unit is powder coated in standard RAL 9003 white color, and has a rubber gasket on the air connection.
