PLI ceiling diffuser

The PLI is a square ceiling-mounted air diffuser designed for flush installation in modular false ceiling systems. It features a circular front slot opening combined with an aerodynamically shaped rear section, enabling smooth 360-degree horizontal air diffusion. As supply air enters the room, the airflow adheres to the ceiling surface due to the Coanda effect, minimizing the risk of draughts in the occupied zone, even at low airflow rates or when supplying cooler air.

Features

Flush installation

The PLI diffuser sits perfectly flush within modular ceiling grids, creating a clean, uniform surface. This discreet integration supports a seamless architectural finish, ideal for offices, retail, and other visually sensitive spaces.

Dual functionality

Dual functionality

Primarily designed for supply air, a PLI unit can also be used for extract air. Its consistent external form supports visual uniformity throughout the building and simplifies design and installation.

360° diffusion

The unit ensure uniform 360° air diffusion, with a front design that remains unchanged regardless of the spigot size. This guarantees a consistent, harmonious look across varying room sizes and ventilation requirements.

Wide range of application

Ideal for ventilating spaces where discreet and efficient air distribution is required, such as offices, schools, hospitals, restaurants and retail stores.

Optimal circulation

As supply air exits the diffuser at high velocity, it forms a narrow jet that entrains surrounding room air – a process known as the induction effect. This draws ambient air into the airstream, resulting in rapid mixing between supply and room air. At the same time, the jet tends to follow the ceiling surface due to the Coanda effect, which extends the throw distance before the mixed air descends into the occupied zone. The combined effect balances room temperature, and enhances thermal comfort.

Designed for a consistent appearance

The PLI features a standardized front panel that remains identical regardless of the duct connection size behind it. This allows airflow and performance to be adapted to room needs without altering the visible design. Whether in open-plan areas or smaller spaces, the consistent faceplate ensures a clean, unified appearance that aligns with modern interior design standards.

Acoustics

When paired with TLM or TK commissioning boxes, the PLI diffuser benefits from the sound-absorbing insulation. This reduces operational noise, which is important in most premises. The diffuser also benefits from the precision measuring probe for exact airflow settings when commissioned.

Easy installation

Easy installation

T-Grid modular ceilings: The diffuser is designed for quick, secure installation in standard T-grid modular ceilings. By simply removing the front plate, access is provided for easy connection to the commissioning box with a single screw.

For optimal acoustic and thermal performance, using a commissioning box is recommended.

Commissioning box options

TK Our flagship commissioning box, with a low build height featuring environment friendly sound absorbent insulation, a supply air distribution plate and a removable damper module for commissioning and measuring of the airflow. The low height is possible by the inward facing socket design of the diffuser connection, minimising the total height of the diffuser and box, when assembled together. Learn more →

TLM A compact commissioning box for airflow regulation with supply air diffusers, featuring environment friendly sound absorbent insulation, an air distribution plate and a damper module. Learn more →

Cool performance

Cool performance

The PLI diffuser can handle supply air up to 10°C below room temperature while maintaining comfort in the occupied zone. Its 360° diffusion pattern, combined with the Coanda effect, allows cool air to spread evenly along the ceiling, minimizing draught risk even under high cooling demand.

Ease of maintenance

Ease of maintenance

Routine maintenance is simple and safe. The front plate can be removed without any tools, streamlining cleaning and inspection. A built-in safety cord prevents accidental drops during removal or handling, ensuring both user safety and product protection.
